Preparing Boxes For Pick-Up

Here is a quick reference guide for preparing your boxes for pick-up. If you need assistance or file level indexing please contact our sales team.



Step 1) Request boxes and barcodes from CitiStorage – Customer Service, at (718) 782-1100 or e-mail us at customerservice@citistorage.com. Please include your account number with all service requests. You can also be setup to use our simple, secure web interface for managing your account online.
Step 2) CitiStorage will send you barcode labels (16 per sheet) and Microsoft Excel files with the matching list of barcode numbers already inserted.
Step 3) As you affix barcode labels to the information panel (on the short side of each box) you can record a basic description of the box contents along with the retention information for the material in the box. This information will help you recall and manage your records in the future. CitiStorage can also perform file or box-level indexing for you, if necessary. Step 4) Request a pickup from CitiStorage – Customer Service. Our friendly, uniformed Dispatch Team will bring your boxes to our local facility and scan the barcodes into our database.
